Manga Drawing Workshop details

Konnichiwa minna-san.

As mentioned in the previous post, there will be a manga drawing workshop this Monday, the 27th of August. Details of the workshop are as follows:

Date: 27th Aug 2007
Time: 7pm to 9 pm
Venue: NIE Block 3B level 2*
Capacity: 24 people only due to venue limitation

*Look for the seminar room "The Creek". It's a separate building by itself and is just in front of the NIE canteen. =)

Ok previously I said there need not be any registration, but apparently due to the limited number of seats at the venue, registration is necessary. Interested parties, please send us an email with your name and contacts. We will contact you if selected.

This is the newly appointed Publications Officer who will now be in charge of maintaining this website. I confess to be unfamiliar with using blogspot, so pardon me while I try to tinker around a bit with this and figure stuff out.

To begin with, JAC will be holding its first mini event of this semester, which is the Manga Drawing Workshop, this coming Monday, the 27th of August, from 7pm-10pm. No fees are required, no registration required, just your presence. It's a bit on short notice, but your attendance at the workshop would be greatly appreciated. Tentatively, the venue has yet to be decided, but when it has, it will be updated here.

Next, we will be holding our sub-committee recruitment this week as well as next week. The first sub-com recruitment drive will be on this coming Thursday and Friday, 23rd and 24th of August, from 5.30-9.30pm at TR 11, NS4-4. Any member who is interested in joining the sub-com may come down during this time to be interviewed for the positions.

Positions available include:

Publicity - 8
Publications - 6
Business Management - 4
Special Projects - 22

Our next round of sub-com recruitment would be on the following Thursday and Friday, the 30th and 31st of August, from 5.30-9.30pm at TR 11, NS4-4.

Annual General Meeting 07/08

Dear members,

Thank you all for joining our club. First of all, welcome to JAC 07/08! We would like to invite you to our first club event for the academic year which is our annual general meeting this Thursday, 16 August 2007 from 7pm to 11pm. It will take place at:

School Of Biological Science Classroom 3, SBS-01n-23
(located near cafe by the quad)

Directions: the classroom is on the 1st level of SBS (School of Biological Science) building, just near the "Cafe by the Quad" and the big square near Nanyang Audi.

If you are a freshie, you may use the online "NTU map" to look for the location. We will also put some directions near the place. If you have difficulty finding the place on the day, please contact Ken at 9694 0895. He will help u! =)

Food will be provided for members during the event and this is a good chance to interact with fellow Japanese enthusiasts. There will also be elections for the new main committee.

Natsu Matsuri:
If you have purchased a Summer Festival Ticket, you also need to come down to redeem the ticket with your receipts.

Election:
Of course, if you are running for any main comm positions, this meeting you MUST attend, because all Main Comm members are to be elected on the day, on spot.
